donations! (please) Why should I donate? Why indeed! Donations are one of the many ways to show you love the comic and the hard-working artist. A donation says, "Thanks for all the hard work! I love what you're doing! Keep it up!" =^-^= Anyway, let's face it. Artists have bills and need to eat just like everybody else. Too many times, artists have had to stop making their comics. The reason could be homelessness or - heavens forbid!! - a full-time job. (Oh noes.) More often than not, it's simply because they couldn't afford the cost of bandwidth or even a mere internet bill. Donations allow me and the other Apocalypse members to work on our comics as much as we can. This in turns allows you to read it for free on schedule. Plus, you can only feel good about yourself when it's over. That's better than, dare I say, s--(bleep) Shiny goodness of wallpaperness! Those who donate will be emailed a thank you note with a special coupon code. (So make sure you give the right e-mail.) You simply go to http://webcomicwallpapers.com and redeem your coupon for your wallpaper. For Akashik, the coupon is good for *any wallpaper* on the site. (You will need a membership at the site to do this, but it's free. You won't be under any obligation to send any more money to anyone than you want to.) Donations of ANY AMOUNT get a free wallpaper! A preview of the current wallpaper gift is to the right of this page near the bottom. Donations of $20 or more receive in the mail a donation gift in addition to the wallpaper set. Currently our thank you gift is a collectible art card. They're hand-assembled and printed in limited amounts.
Donation links to Heavenly Bride, 10 Confessions & a Kiss, and Alien Fishbowl will be added eventually. |
Previews for the current wallpaper and desktop theme donation gifts are represented below! These are thank you gifts from both Akashik AND Heavenly Bride. To support Avenia or Alien Fishbowl, please visit their respective websites.
