My Wuthering Heights – first draft

Well, the music is courtesy of Doxent Zsigmond, whose Youtube page is here: https://www.youtube.com/user/doxent

They did a bang up job taking that high pitch melody and turning it into something for normal people. And I had a lot of fun playing with it. But came out of it hating my voice more. LOL!

The audio clips I made would come out great, to a point. Not sweet the way I can’t sing, but not flat. And then I’d put them with the music and suddenly they’d sound tired. Or flat. Or trying to hard. Or you name it. After a couple of days not sleeping when I should be (like right now) I have finally decided… screw it! Thank goodness I don’t try to make a living at this stuff!!!

So here’s the first draft of my version of Wuthering Heights. Doxent may mix their own version. I’m eager to see what they knew how to do that I didn’t – although as horrible as my voice came out I wouldn’t be surprised it they don’t. =^-^=

Greater Heights

I spent time today recording for my own cover of Wuthering Heights. I hated every rendition. I have a scratchy voice, and what’s in my head is a smooth voice. I also had a certain idea for the music video, if ever I get to that part, but it appears I’ve been beat to it.

And for fun, there’s the 2nd version of an official music video by the song-writer (and performer) Kate Bush.

And so far I think this particular, haunting version captures the spirit of the book it’s based on the most.

And this.

This is pure fucking genius.
