So there was this interview …

Between trying to write and wrap up two comics, a novel, and fighting against yet another story idea forming in my head (I already have the title! GAAAH! I already have the title!) I somehow got interviewed in a podcast. This happened quite some time ago, I’m ashamed to admit. And I did horribly – well. I always do horribly. Ask me a question, any question, and try as I might I can’t seem to answer as directly as people seem to think I should. Perhaps I should have been a politician.

Regardless, the interview happened with Casey Ryan of the Cutting Room Floor. The Cutting Room Floor is a podcast he does as a helpful  hobby to promote indie publications. He does so faithfully every week, and I was lucky to be slipped into his rather full schedule.

We talked a bit about Akashik, where I got my inspiration from, and of course 10 Confessions. Why not 10 Confessions?

If you’d like to listen to it, click here.

And I highly recommend you try his other podcasts. Get to know his website, listen to other interviews. Support the indie movement. Yes, I know there’s a lot of crap out there under the label of indie. Setting the fact that there’s also a lot of crap by “professional” publishers aside, there’s a lot of good stuff out there under the label of indie. But just like with the professionals, you won’t find it until you look.

  1. Katrina, I am new to checking out your blog and writing, but I already know I like it. Love Casey too. Best in your writing pursuits and I’m signing up for your blog right now.

    1. That’s very sweet of you to say so. I haven’t been running this blog long and truth be told I’d rather be writing in a book than writing in my blog, but this sort of thing can be fun. Especially when surrounded by good people.

      1. Well, Death, I can only find enough free time to post once a week on my A Writer’s Life Blog, but I like the way it’s central to what is happening weekly. Sort of journalistic. Deep dark secrets revealed . . . I hear you about being surrounded by good people. Love that.

  2. Yeah it’s nice to be surrounded by good people! And once a week: really? THAT MUCH TIME?! I’m so jealous. 😉 But I’m working on it. I’ll have to track down your blog.
